Let’s just call what’s happening on our southern border what it really is. It’s nothing short of an invasion. That’s what it is, and it’s already transforming the country, just not in a good way
Take a look at the graph and statistics posted above from US Customs and Border Protection. The volume this year is likely to top 3 million, nearly 5 times what it was in 2020. The number of illegals encountered is now unimaginable. It cannot be sustained, and these are just the ones the government is currently aware of because they’re extremely understaffed to handle this.
While our elected officials are busy sending funds to the Ukraine to protect their border, they are continuing to ignore our own boarder. There was a time, even within my lifetime that what’s occurring would be unheard of. The American public wouldn’t have allowed it, and no politician would have survived who did allow it. My how times have changed, and it’s getting worse daily.
This six month old video from The New York Post shows a group/crowd rushing across the Paso Del Norte bridge connecting from Juárez, Mexico to El Paso, TX under a sign saying “Feliz Viaje”, or “Happy travels.” The group was estimated at around 1,000 and tied up traffic for hours. The storming of the bidge occured after a rumor that the border was being opened to fast track political asylum in the US.
Fast forward to Monday September 18, 2023 and we get the following tweet from Bill Melugin National correspondent for Fox News based in Los Angeles.
“BREAKING: One of the largest mass illegal crossings we have ever seen took place in Eagle Pass, TX this morning, w/ Border Patrol sources telling us over 2,200 people crossed there since midnight. It happened right next to the port of entry, as illegal immigrants continue to ignore Biden admin messaging of “do not come”, & do not fear the promised “consequences” for crossing illegally. Videos from source in MX & our FOX drone team on US side.” , Bill Melugin.
Britain First party leader Paul Golding posted this tweet and video of what’s currently headed our way. A long train load of illegals. The first question one might ask is who’s funding this and why? The first question I would ask is what are we going to do to stop it?
The above instances are just a small part of what’s happening along our southern border. They’re just stories and video of what I found in a limited internet search. There are others too numerous to post here.
Now let me repeat what I said above. None of this is good for the country. I’ll go a step further and say it’s not even good for those coming illegally.
As to my question while referring to Paul Golding’s tweet, what are we going to do to stop it? Well the answer assumes those in power and those behind the ones in power who fund their campaigns want to stop it. I’m not convinced they do, in fact I’m convinced they don’t want it stopped, not yet anyway.
When politicians and others in government are asked to do something they either deflect or say it’s too overwhelming and we don’t have the resources. Really? We just finished spending trillions to shutdown the country over covid.
They are also funding the hiring of 87,000 new IRS agents while at the same time telling us they don’t have the funds for the border. Don’t insult my intelligence by trying to convince me we don’t have the resources and the ability to end this. We most certainly do. One would have to be a complete and total idiot to believe otherwise.
In conclusion I have no problem with legal immigration, and never have had. You want to come here and try to make a better life for yourself then by all means come, but do it legally.
